Check out the event on Facebook!
Been dreaming of the day you could ride a sheet of plastic for two tenths of a mile at over 300mph (or some where between that and 0)?! Well now is your chance North Dakota! Feast your eyes on the first ever slip ‘n slide requiring a ski park chair lift to get to the top! The current world record is a tiny unverified 600ft but our slide will be nearly 1,200ft of EPIC SLIDING AWESOMENESS with roughly 250ft of vertical drop! As wi…th all our events, this will be filmed for youtube and photographed for all major social networking sites. $10/person at Huff or $8/person pre buy at CiNcity Designs in Mandan lets you slide as many times as you possibly can before we wrap it up. Waivers must be signed before riding and anyone under 18 will be required to have a parent or guardians signature.
Does this slide actually cost $1,000,000? Well no, but $5,000,000 in insurance liability coverage was required to host this event so the title seemed appropriate. Where else in the world is someone required to have millions of dollars of liability coverage to slide on a sheet of plastic? That should tell you how awesome (or sketchy?) this event will be!!!!
In 2010, North Dakota took the guinness world record for snow angels by 8,962 snow angels, on Feb. 17. It’s time to break another record people. We already will with this slide, lets add another by having the most people ever slide at one time!
