Hello NORTH DAKOTA! My name is Nic, creator and host for the ND500 road rally set to take place July 29 – Aug 1, 2010. Cars and anything to do with them have been my passion for a very long time now.
Like many of you I’m always looking for an opportunity to get together with others out there like me. Unfortunately our area doesn’t always give us the best opportunity to be a part of state wide car gatherings and road rally’s that have been taking place on our coasts for many many years. Well this year I plan to change that!
Recently I’ve been blessed to be a part of television history and was a contestant on the reality show known as Bullrun filmed for the SPEED channel as ten one hour episodes airing Feb 18th. The show was a dream come true for me as I was part of a show not only based around doing something I love to do, but it also gave me the ability to share my passion with people all around the state of North Dakota and beyond.
I had a feeling there were many of you out there just like me, I just needed to find you all! So I decided to create my own rally and WOW, the response was incredible! Before this website was created, before I had a logo designed, before the ND500 even had an official route, 4 teams had already called me direct and said “Nic, I don’t care what it costs, tell me how I can get in!”. That’s all I needed to hear.
It is with great pride that I can tell you that the ND500 is an official state recognized event, has major sponsors from around the Bismarck/Mandan area to make sure it gets as big as possible, and it’s thanks to all you car fans from around the great state of NORTH DAKOTA who helped make it all possible.
So I give a THANK YOU to all of my current teams who have already reserved half of the spots available as I type this, and I want to tell the teams who have yet to join… HURRY UP! Time is running out to be a part of the biggest automotive event to take place in our area!
